This term in Year 2, our enquiry question is, "What happens when people don't solve conflict peacefully?" with a focus on peace. We kicked off the year with an exciting immersion day dressed as child evacuees, exploring WW2 memorabilia, listening to captivating stories, and even tasting wartime carrot cake. Our class text, "The Lion and the Unicorn," has been a hit, and we've been delving into the significant events of WW2, writing diary entries rich in descriptive language.

In Expressive Arts, we're exploring a variety of painting techniques and drawing inspiration from the amazing works of Rhiannon Roberts. In Maths, we're tackling concepts of time, multiplication, and 3D shapes with enthusiasm.

Our Science and Technology lessons are all about animals and their habitats. We're diving into research and conducting fascinating experiments. Year 2 students are thoroughly enjoying practising their folk dancing skills in preparation for the eisteddfod.

We're also building confidence in our Digital Competence Framework (DCF) skills and working diligently on our first digital portfolios.
